“I've wanted to start my own business ever since I was 18, but it took years of ‘real world’ experience to find my calling in online marketing. Jenni Swedlund

Jenni Swedlund, Account Services Director

Jenni Swedlund is responsible for overarching campaign strategy, executing campaigns, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that all projects stay on track with budget, timing and strategy. With over 14 years in the business, Jenni’s background is in both traditional and digital advertising. Her clients have included telecom (T-Mobile and Windows Mobile), healthcare (Memorial Hermann), SaaS (Alert Logic, Sonus), retail (AMD, Mattress Firm) and food service (la Madeleine).

Jenni is a Pacific Northwesterner at heart and loves spending time with her husband, two boys and their funny-looking Boston Terrier.

Christina Folger

Christina Folger, Account Manager

Christina Folger is a marketing specialist with roots in account and digital project management. With 8 years of advertising experience, Christina partners with clients to put forth strategic, impeccably-executed, measurable marketing campaigns. Wide-ranging industry experience includes healthcare (Texas Oncology, Scott & White Health Plan, Alcon), utilities (CPS Energy), financial services (Lone Star Capital Bank), SaaS (New Relic), attorneys, retail, real estate, automotive, and food service.

Christina has worked with clients on digital advertising, social media strategy, website design, content strategy, and application development. Her background also includes traditional advertising, Hispanic marketing, and public relations.

Living in Austin, Texas, being outdoors and active is easy – you can usually find Christina with her kids at a park or soccer field, or on a sunny patio sipping a margarita.

Manisha Priyadarshan

Manisha Priyadarshan, Account Manager

Manisha Priyadarshan is a results-driven account manager with extensive experience in the development and execution of multi-channel marketing strategies. With both agency and corporate marketing experience, Manisha has partnered closely with clients in a multitude of industries including IT, Finance, Biotechnology, and Healthcare.

Manisha has proven to be instrumental in spearheading client digital advertising efforts, including content marketing, social media strategy, and website design. She is a passionate brand marketer and problem solver, and isn't afraid to wear many hats!

Manisha possesses an MBA in Marketing from Saint Joseph's University and is a Philadelphia native. She resides in the Greater New York City area with her husband, daughter, and dog-ter, and enjoys a good margarita and exploring the city that never sleeps!

Stephanie Gardner Sabatino

Stephanie Gardner Sabatino, Account Executive

Stephanie Gardner-Sabatino comes to our agency with over 15 years of Account Management experience from the vendor and agency side. She has handled national and international clients through her experience with Universal McCann, iHeartMedia and Hearst. She has guided the digital strategy for Diageo, Mastercard, Mondelez, PepsiCo, Sony Pictures, Unilever and Verizon. Stephanie’s work spanned many verticals including: Automotive, Banking, Consumer, Education, Energy Oil and Gas, Fashion, Financial, Automotive, Food and Beverage, Healthcare, Insurance, Legal, Media, Retail, Real Estate (Commercial and Residential), Technology (SaaS), Telecommunication, Transportation (travel), and Non-for-profit.  

Stephanie enjoys creating effective and smart campaigns for her clients leveraging the best of Neon Ambition’s solutions. Her expertise centers around  branding, display, PPC, streaming audio, social media, large website launches, on-site events and media strategy. She is a champion for her clients and is devoted to their success as a trusted partner.

Stephanie relocated from New York City to Upstate New York in 2015 where she enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the world with her husband, daughter and senior citizen terrier mix, Eli.

Rob Woods

Rob Woods, Head of SEO

Rob specializes in SEO technical site audits, helping customers with their SEO strategy, coaching/training our customers, implementing local SEO tactics, and creating content and link-building strategies. An SEO and online marketer with 17 years of experience, Rob has headed up Neon Ambition’s SEO team since 2015. He is also the technical editor of two SEO/e-commerce books from O'Reilly, Social eCommerce and The Art of SEO.

Rob loves untangling complicated technical SEO issues to instantly increase clients' organic traffic just as much as seeing changes to their local SEO drive more feet through the door of their brick and mortar locations. Whether driving thousands of new visits through a small change to a big site, or driving a few new customers each day through a big change to a small site, he understands the power of SEO.

Rob has spoken at numerous marketing events including Pubcon, SMX Advanced, SEMPO Canada/Bing Search Summit, BlueGlassX, IIMA Fusion Conference, DMA Retail, Annual Conference for Catalogs & Multichannel Merchants, Endeca Discover Conference, and numerous marketing and SEO Meetup events. He served on the Advisory Board for SMX Toronto.

Rob lives in beautiful Vancouver, B.C., with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping and fly fishing. He is also an avid barbecuer but has yet to replicate barbecue as good as Austin’s.

Rocco Baldassarre

Rocco Baldassarre, Head of Paid Search & Paid Social

Rocco is an entrepreneur and digital marketer who knows paid search and paid social through and through. Google relied on Rocco’s expertise when developing its new Display Select platform and named him the Google Partner All-Star Winner for three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016.

Bing valued Rocco’s input on how to improve its advertising platform so much that he was the youngest person, as well as the only marketer, to have ever been awarded the Most Valuable Professional Award by Microsoft. Furthermore, Facebook featured one of Rocco’s campaigns in a case study on its advertiser site.

Rocco has been featured in the Huffington Post, New York Times, Search Engine Journal, SEMrush and Upwork's Annual Impact Report, among other publications. He also was named the fifth-most influential digital marketer in 2016 by onalytica.com. Rocco truly is one of the best in the world at managing paid campaigns.

John Espinoza

John Espinoza, Creative Director

John was previously a Creative Director at McCann-Erickson, Daily & Associates and at Grey Advertising where he helped create brands and television ads for companies like Honda Motorcycles, Sara Lee, Nestle, Pizza Hut, Kraft, and Hilton Hotels. He then worked as a Creative Director at the Disney Consumer Products Division He also taught Designing TV Commercials for 15 years at Art Center College of Design.

To meet the rise of digital marketing technology, John reinvented himself and started focusing more and more on inbound marketing. John now helps create our clients' content marketing campaigns. His toolbox includes personas, strategies, content offers and assets. He enjoys developing solutions that resonate with their target audiences across various buying stages, then creating a holistic brand across digital channels including email, web, social media, paid search and organic advertising. 

John has more than 25 years' experience in developing brand and marketing strategies and executing them in both digital and print formats. John has earned many awards for creating effective work for national clients, including Clio, Cannes, ADDYs, Effies, Art Directors Club of Los Angeles, John Caples Award and the National Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Drew Mebane

Drew Mebane, Content Marketing Strategist

Drew is a growth-driven marketing professional with over 9 years of experience driving brand equity and sustainable revenue pipelines for B2B and B2C organizations.

Drew earned a master’s degree while teaching College English. Later, his passion for lifelong learning lead him to earn over a dozen marketing certifications. He has deep subject matter expertise in inbound marketing, SEO, account-based marketing, and omni-channel demand generation.

One of Drew’s passions is collaborating with clients to develop a thorough understanding of the buyer personas who become brand evangelists. This process informs the strategy, messaging, and positioning for innovative marketing roadmaps. Drew also enjoys repurposing content to create powerful sales enablement materials. He has significant experience marketing B2B tech products, SaaS, healthcare technology, and e-commerce startups.

Drew loves the flexibility of remote work which enables him to pursue his other passions for running the beautiful trails of Southern Oregon with his wife and raising his firecracker 10-year-old son.

Erin Vaughan

Erin Vaughan, Head of Copywriting

Erin Vaughan leads our team of in-house copywriters, ensuring our clients content exceeds their expectations and is delivered on time, error free!
She came to content writing by way of the publishing world, where she spent several years creating ebooks for romance writers. After enough vampire novels for a lifetime, she moved over to full-time writing in 2015 and has never looked back. She loves to pair together unexpected words, phrases, and concepts to create interesting written concoctions, and she's thankful to have a job where she gets to learn something new every day. 
She works to support her three-legged dog, two needy cats, and book buying habit. In her free time, you can catch her reading, hiking or pointing out dogs to people when there are dogs.

James Hamilton

James Hamilton, Brand Director

James has over 15 years of agency experience as a brand strategist and storyteller. He specializes in complex brands, products and services that need a simple, compelling story for their customers. He helps our clients distill that complexity — complicated markets, diverse customers, unique selling propositions and more — into focused strategies that start and end with their business goals.

James has worked on 50+ brands and offerings for multinational market leaders to start-up disruptors in industries including healthcare, enterprise & infrastructure technologies, biotech, financial services, packaging and professional services. A few well-known companies he has helped include IBM, Filtration Group, Merck KgAA, Alcon, MWV, Abbott, AMD, Emerson Network Power and Liberty Mutual.

Dave Rohrer

Dave Rohrer, Senior SEO

As an in-house and agency digital leader for more than 20 years, Dave Rohrer has solved problems and increased revenue for companies both large (Internet Retailer 100 & Fortune 500 such as State Farm, Vanguard, Cabela's and Orbitz to name a few) and small (start-ups & small, local businesses). Dave started as a web developer but quickly traded his daily coding for daily data and SEO updates.

When Dave is not co-hosting The Business of Digital Podcast he can be found online and offline giving talks at conferences around the world. Dave is an internationally recognized speaker that continues to speak and share his digital marketing wisdom at conferences like PubCon, SMX, SES/ClickZ, Midwest Digital Marketing Conference, Digital Summit, and many other great marketing conferences.

Dave resides in Chicagoland (not downtown Chicago to be clear!) with his wife, two cats and two boys. When he is not watching sports, you can find him hiking with the boys, traveling with his wife and trying to visit as many breweries as he can.

Hannah West

Hannah West, Copywriter

Hannah West is an author and freelance writer with a French degree she wishes she had more occasion to use. Her titles include young adult fantasy series The Nissera Chronicles and a standalone called The Bitterwine Oath. Her freelance work has covered a diverse range of topics including sustainable energy, home renovation, fashion, digital marketing, natural pet products, and everything in between. She lives in the Dallas area with her husband and two rambunctious rescue dogs.

Sarah Hudgens

Sarah Hudgens, Senior Content Editor

Sarah makes sure all of Neon Ambition’s copy is clear, on-brand and error-free. Her favorite part of her job is wrestling with stubborn, unrefined copy until it bends into elegance. She has been editing, writing and proofreading full time since she received her MFA in 2006. An ad agency veteran, she has applied her expertise to traditional and digital projects running the gamut from print ads to emails, brochures to websites, and organic to paid social media. Her client list includes Alcon, Invisalign, car2go, Texas Education Agency and the Don’t Mess with Texas campaign.

In her free time, Sarah makes pottery, wrangling clay instead of copy. She also loves to camp, hike and sip well-crafted cocktails on a patio with her wife in her hometown of Austin.

Jacqueline Byrne

Jacqueline Byrne, Designer

Jacqueline is a rare breed of art director. Grounded in art trends and rooted in strategy, Jacqueline brings both a visual and a cunning eye to Neon Ambition. She specializes in holistic art direction, maintaining focus on the single most important message a client wants to convey and making sure everything funnels back to that point.

Jacqueline has a master’s degree in advertising with a focus in creative from the University of Texas at Austin, and bachelor’s in advertising from Western Kentucky University. She has received numerous advertising and design awards, spanning Addys, Markies, Louies and a global D&AD pencil for excellence in art direction. She has worked on major brands such as Snickers, Jack Daniel's, Austin Tourism, Domino's, Starbucks and Texas Lottery. 

Originally from England, Jacqueline made her way to Austin to immerse herself in the awesome design and advertising community, and to enjoy tacos for every meal. She spends most nights on the couch with her laptop, her cat, her fiancé and a good glass of wine, in that order.

Lauren Pezzullo

Lauren Pezzullo, Copywriter

Lauren is a lifelong lover of words and books. Her favorite part of her job is being able to harness the power of storytelling to help businesses build their brands and reach their goals. As a writer and editor with a background in publishing, she's covered such diverse topics as solar energy and green living, creative digital marketing, music reviews for various bands and how to make a DIY cat window perch. Her publications include Austin Monthly, Edible Communities, Do It Yourself Network, AlterNet and more. When she's not doting on her Maine Coon cat, Lauren is writing a novel, playing guitar poorly and creating stop-motion movies.

Kirstie Renae

Kirstie Renae, Copywriter

Kirstie is a freelance writer who has always had a deep passion for turning concepts into words. She began her professional writing career in 2013 as a contributor and entertainment editor for a women-owned online magazine called Literally, Darling. Through Literally, Darling's content partnership with The Huffington Post, Kirstie's work has been featured on HuffPost Women and she has been interviewed on HuffPost Live multiple times. Since 2016, Kirstie has worked as a freelancer, creating SEO-focused web content for clients across all industries. In addition, she's currently a contributing writer for Insider who focuses on entertainment and lifestyle pieces. When she's not busy working with clients, she runs her personal blog, KirstieRenae.com, which features recipes, personal perspective pieces, and everything in between.

Whether helping clients convey their brand, creating entertaining content for the masses, or expressing herself on her blog, Kirstie finds joy in creating art with words any way she can. When not working, she enjoys binge-watching TV, cooking, and spending time with her fiance and two dogs.

Rebecca Donley

Rebecca Donley, Copywriter

Rebecca Donley joined Neon Ambition after more than fifteen years in the nonprofit sector. Having gained ample experience writing copy, blog posts, training materials and presentations in various roles, she decided to make her favorite part of the job her full-time job. Rebecca loves combining her experience as an Anthropology major and improv theater performer to tell stories that capture the attention of audiences. Rebecca lives with her husband, son, three cats, and rescue puppy Laser Bombs Crusher Mode Cannon (who was named by her 6 year old!) in Minneapolis, MN.

Kenneth Taylor

Kenneth Taylor, Web Development

Discovering his love for complex problems and technology mixed with helping others, Kenneth fell in love with coding, specifically web and app development. Helping businesses utilize their untapped data sources and ensuring their brand is optimized and consistent on every device and platform is his speciality (except for IE 8).

Currently living in Redondo Beach, when not exploring the web, you can find Kenneth riding up and down Pacific Coast Highway training for the BikeMS Bay to Bay to support Multiple Sclerosis or enjoying a good craft stout with friends!

Keyon Hedayati

Keyon Hedayati, Google Analytics

Keyon is a user experience analyst and project manager specializing in online conversions, web analytics and UX improvements. In his 12 years of experience, he has managed a variety of projects from inception to execution across online marketing, internal and external support, and user engagement with measurable results. Keyon loves CRO work because the success (or failure) of your idea is quickly evident. He thrives on learning, especially from failure.

Keyon has been Web Analytics Association certified since 2008, and a Google Analytics Individual Qualified (GAIQ) program member since 2007. He’s an expert in Excel and Optimizely with significant experience using macros (VBA) and building forms, and working in jQuery.

Keyon plays tennis and soccer for exercise, but at heart he’s a gamer. His favorite is still a classic game of Dungeons and Dragons. Having lived in several countries abroad, he also loves to travel, meet people and try new, exotic foods.

Jordan Slover

Jordan Slover, Founder

Originally from Indiana, Jordan gained his online marketing experience working in New York, London, Sydney, Austin and now NYC. He was lucky enough to start his career at Google in NYC, working with the top 500 e-commerce companies to improve their conversion rates. He then transferred to the London office, where he led the Google Analytics Partner program for 17 countries across Europe. This exposure to some of the best CRO specialists in the world opened his eyes to the power of understanding Google Analytics data as well as user behavior and psychology to improve conversion rates.

After a year of travel left him in Australia short on cash, Jordan joined a top web design agency in Sydney. Over the next three years, he started the online marketing division and grew it to over 50% of their revenue. Having finally found his calling and passion for helping companies grow, he decided to move to Austin to settle down and start Neon Ambition.

Jordan work/lives to travel, experience new cultures and eat all the new foods he can find. Visiting and hiking through America’s many national parks is high on his list of upcoming trips. After living in Austin for six years Jordan recently relocated back to one of his favorite cities in the world, NYC.

Eddie Slover

Eddie Slover, Chief Treat Officer

Eddie is six pounds of pure ambition. He never lets his small stature stand in the way of the task at hand. 

Eddie knows the team values appreciation, and as Chief Treat Officer he's in charge of handing out treats for a job well done. He may eat more treats than he hands out but, hey, he's a dog. What can you expect? 

Karon Warren

Karon Warren, Writer

Indulging her love of magazines and newspapers, Karon started her writing career as a copy editor for a daily newspaper before moving on to a senior editor position with a bridal magazine. She soon moved on to a full-time freelancing career, covering everything from lifestyle and travel to real estate, business, finance and more, for both consumer and B2B audiences.

Her many clients ranged from Cruise Critic to Lending Tree to Paint & Decorating Retailer to R.E. Real Estate—and many, many more. When she isn’t writing, Karon spends time in the North Georgia mountains with her husband and two children.

Walter White

Walter White, CEO of Dog Operations

Walter "Wally" White is the laziest member of Neon Ambition by a LONG shot. As CEO of Dog Operations, it's a wonder the dogs around the office ever get anything done. 

Wally likes to lead from his perch on top of the couch and alerts everyone that its dinner time at 5 p.m. each day. He's Eddie's best friend and worst sworn enemy.
