 Jr SEO Specialist

We are looking for an intelligent and knowledgeable Jr. SEO Specialist to join our remote team. You will work alongside and learn from our Head of SEO who has 19 years of experience. 

This job will require you to plan and develop strategic optimization plans for our clients to help their online content succeed in driving organic traffic to their sites. You will work with clients to apply industry-standard best practice SEO techniques to their websites.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Performing technical, content, and link audits, as directed by our Director of SEO.
  • Measure and track site ranking factors, keywords, internal and external links, and site content.
  • Assist Account Managers with monthly reporting and questions that stem from reports.
  • Performing other research and analysis as directed.
  • Assisting the account team to maintain client calendars, schedules, and due dates.
  • Reviewing client deliverables, checking for typographical errors, presentation, goal alignment, tone, and effectiveness.
  • Utilization of available industry tools to successfully implement and manage client work.
  • Stay current with search engine trends to develop and improve SEO practices within the agency.
  • Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to drive more qualified traffic. Work with copy manager on content ideation.
  • Participate in inter-team meetings to discuss and recommend strategies that influence site and content direction.
  • Execute action items from audits or work with the dev team to see them through to completion.

Requirements

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in SEO, preferably at an agency
  • Be able to commit to 35-40 hours/week, Monday through Friday
  • Experience working in a remote/virtual environment
  • Understanding of SEO core elements including, but not limited to, on-page and off-page tactics, optimization of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, title tags, and meta descriptions
  • Working knowledge of Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics, and using 3rd party tools like SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic and Screaming Frog
  • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Ability to have challenging but productive business conversations.
  • Ability to extract trends and insights from data sets.
  • Understanding of business-related concepts and the interrelationship between key metrics

This is a 1099 position. To successfully perform in this role requires the person to understand the client’s business, business goals, program objectives, basic business and marketing concepts, and to communicate effectively internally and externally.

Traffic Coordinator

Hours: 30-40 hours per week M-F, CST/EST working hours only, 100% remote.

We’re looking for a Traffic Coordinator preferably with agency experience.

The Traffic Coordinator will work with the Copy Manager and Account team to organize and implement new client projects. Working in a team environment, the Traffic Coordinator will manage schedules, project plans, and documentation to ensure all materials and information are present to meet project timelines and client expectations.

During project fulfillment, he or she will assist the Copy Manager and account team in importing data from creative briefs into the project management software, managing the copy board, routing revisions through the account team, and updating status documents.

The role is essential to the successful launch, management, and execution of new and existing projects, so the Traffic Coordinator must be an organized and professional self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Working with and being a liaison between different agency departments
  • Working with Copy Manager on resource planning, availability, and allocation according to project pipeline
  • Assisting in tracking project performance and cost performance
  • Tracking project deliverables due to the Account team
  • Performing quality assurance
  • Building relationships with Content Creators
  • Reporting and escalate to management as needed
  • Familiarity with project management software, like Basecamp or TeamWork, bonus but not mandatory

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
